New Swipe: Music Packaging?
Music is now a medium without a tangible, see-it-feel-it real-world identity. The albums, cassettes and cds are disappearing. Plus, you don't talk to the record store owner.
Live shows still excite all the senses, but if you want the music, you just look them up on iTunes, a band website or myspace.
Lots of answers to this problem are popping up. iPhone skins, cool usb dongles, etc.
T-shirts are a big part of it now.
Maybe there's something interesting to do in this space.
Physical things aren't as good for sharing (the internet's better). But what's the thing about music that needs to be incarnated in the physical world, and how can it best be done?
